2027 Wheelchair Basketball European Championships, Liverpool is delivered by UKEL Ltd. UKEL Ltd is a company incorporated in England and Wales with a registered address at UKEL Ltd, 10 Queen Street Place, London, EC4R 1AG (Event Organiser, we, us, our).

a) We reserve the right to make alterations to the competition schedule where reasonably necessary. Please check the WBEURO27 website and our social media channels for the latest up-to-date information before travelling to the Event at the Venue.

b) All tickets advise your entry point to the venue. WBEURO27 staff and volunteers will be positioned and located in and around public access areas to help guide you and directional signage will be in place.

a) Tickets are subject to these Spectator Regulations, and the terms and conditions of the ticketing service providers (as applicable) including Ticket Quarter, Twickets, the Venue: M&S Bank Arena Liverpool,; and the WBEURO27 Ticketing Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict or ambiguity between the terms of the documents listed in this Section 3 a) and these Spectator Regulations, the following order of precedence shall apply: (i) the WBEURO27 Ticketing Terms and Conditions; (ii) the WBEURO27 Spectator Regulations; (iii) Ticket Quarter or Twickets (as applicable); and (iv) the Venue.

b) Please carry photo ID to the Event and ensure your device is fully charged before attending the Event if you have a digital ticket. All Spectators must be in possession of a valid and suitable ticket at all times. Proof of eligibility for concession tickets may be requested when attending the event. We and the Venue reserve the right to request proof of age, ID and/or eligibility when attending the Event. Entry may be refused, without refund, to anyone unable to provide such proof on request.

c) We and the Venue reserve the right to provide alternative seat locations should the staging of the Event so require e.g. due to unavoidable production changes.

d) Unaccredited spectators and non-accredited persons are not permitted to enter accredited access seating, competition areas (including the field of play), or any other restricted areas, unless directed by WBEURO27 and Venue staff.

e) If a Spectator experiences any problems with their seating or enjoyment prior to or during the Event, please inform WBEURO27 or Venue staff immediately as issues cannot always be resolved after the Event.

f) Please refer to the WBEURO27 Ticketing Terms and Conditions for further ticketing information – your attention is particularly drawn to Paragraph 10 of the WBEURO27 Ticketing Terms and Conditions (Limitation of Liability).

a) M&S Bank Arena Liverpool is a fully accessible venue and detailed AccessAble guides are available here.

b) Nimbus Access Card holders are eligible for a complimentary companion ticket – more information about the Nimbus Access Card scheme and the registration process can be found here, please also refer to the WBEURO27 Ticketing Terms and Conditions.

c) We and the Venue reserve the right to request proof of eligibility when attending and throughout the Event. This is to ensure that the services are provided to those who genuinely need them. We will handle all requests sensitively and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

a) A bag check policy will be in place for WBEURO27 and we recommend that you bring only essential items into the Venue. For safety and to minimise queuing times, we ask that Spectators only bring small bags with essential items into the Venue – ideally, this would be a clear bag no larger than A4 size to allow for quick and hygienic security searches.

b) Discretionary exemptions to the bag policy are allowed for medical purposes or for Spectators bringing small, essential snacks or changing bags for schools, groups, babies and young children. Buggy storage facilities will be made available.

Merseyside Police and private security stewards operate within the M&S Bank Arena and Liverpool Experience Campus, including the use of sniffer dogs. Random security checks may be carried out for the safety and security of WBEURO27 Spectators.

a) Only food and drink items purchased from authorised vendors in the Venue may be consumed in the Venue, however Spectators are permitted to bring an empty re-usable water bottle that can be filled inside the Venue.

b) Venue and/or WBEURO27 staff may request that any food or drink items brought to the Venue be disposed of, consumed prior to entry, or left in the designated storage cages. All items left within the designated storage cages are ticketed for ease of collection upon exit and are left at the owners own risk, and the Venue and WBEURO27 are not responsible for any loss or damage.

c) Discretionary exemptions to the Food and Drink policy are allowed for medical purposes or for Spectators bringing small quantities of essential snacks for schools, groups, babies, the elderly and young children.

d) M&S Bank Arena restricts the purchase of alcoholic beverages to a maximum of four (4) per person, per transaction. Venue staff may also be required to decant bottled drinks into plastic cups. Where possible, this information will be displayed at our catering kiosks.

Official, WBEURO27 licensed merchandise is only available in designated areas of the M&S Bank Arena and via the WBEURO27 website when on sale. Keep an eye on the WBEURO27 website and social media channels for more information.

a) WBEURO27 and M&S Bank Arena reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to refuse admission to, or remove from, the Venue any person acting in a way which is or may be undesirable, inappropriate, harmful, offensive, obscene, illegal, or contrary to the M&S Bank Arena Terms and Conditions of Entry or these Spectator Regulations, or which may cause a breach of the peace, or for any other reason that WBEURO27 or M&S Bank Arena management considers necessary or appropriate. In such cases, the person’s ticket will be invalidated without any right to a refund, compensation, or re-admission.

b) Spectators may also be refused entry or ejected from the Venue on account of being (or appearing to be) underage (where relevant), abusive, threatening, drunken, declining to be searched, adversely affecting other people’s enjoyment of the Event, throwing any object or substance onto the field of play or otherwise in the Venue, standing on seats or in any walkways, climbing fencing (or any other structure) or smoking. Please note that this list is non-exhaustive.

c) No refunds or compensation of any kind will be offered to Spectators who are refused entry or removed from the Venue.

Spectators are permitted to leave and re-enter the Venue during the competition sessions – all tickets must be scanned in and out of the Venue for safety and capacity monitoring purposes.

a) Any item identified as a danger to WBEURO27 and Venue staff, competitors, authorised personnel or members of the general public will be confiscated.

b) Prohibited items which will not be allowed in the Venue under any circumstances include (without limitation):

• Glass, cans or thermos of any kind containing liquid products which can be consumed.
• Flammable liquids in any container
• Laser pens/pointers
• Fireworks / Flares / Pyrotechnics
• Smoke Bombs
• Large gold / metal tipped umbrellas
• Knives or weapons of any kind
• Illegal drugs or substances
• Alcoholic beverages
• Animals (except service animals to aid persons with disabilities)
• Air Horns, whistles, cowbells or other noise making distractions.
• Projectiles (frisbees, beach balls, footballs etc)
• Aerosol cans (hairspray, deodorant etc)
• Confetti or glitter bombs or sprays
• Balloons
• Use of wheels footwear, skateboards
• Masks and helmets
• Large studs and chains

c) Restricted items are permitted on a discretionary basis and staff may request that they be disposed of or left in designated storage cages. Such restricted items include (without limitation):

• Signs, banners or flags on poles, staff or selfie sticks
• Professional-type cameras fitted with a detachable zoom lens and/or tripod (with the exception of officially accredited photographers)
• Large quantities of food and drink
• Re-usable water bottles made of metal
• Large bags, suitcases and buggies

d) All items left within the designated storage cages are ticketed for ease of collection upon exit and are left at the owners own risk, and the Venue and WBEURO27 are not responsible for any loss or damage.

e) These are non-exhaustive lists and will remain subject to the discretion of WBEURO27 and M&S Bank Arena management.

Please note that loud music or noise can damage hearing and Spectators who attend the Event do so at their own risk. Ear plugs are available upon request – please ask a member of staff upon entry. Please also be aware that strobe lighting, flashing lights and other special effects may be used during the Event. Spectators who are affected by visual light stimulation can contact us for further details or speak to a member of staff for advice upon entry to the Venue.

a) WBEURO27 and Venue staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist Spectators – please immediately inform a member of staff or steward if you see anything suspicious or require any assistance. A dedicated safeguarding officer will be on duty for every Event competition session.

b) Children aged 14 or under on the date they are scheduled to attend the Event session must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18.

c) Children under two years of age on the date that they attend the Event do not require a ticket, provided that they do not take up a seat.

d) We and the Venue reserve the right to request proof of age both upon entry and at any time throughout the Event.

e) The Event Organisers and Venue further reserve the right to refuse entry, without compensation, refund or re-entry, to any person who is unable to provide such photographic proof of age on request.

a) Smoking and vaping is not permitted anywhere in the M&S Bank Arena, and any Spectator found smoking or vaping inside the Venue will be ejected immediately.

b) A designated external smoking area will be made available, all tickets must be scanned in and out of the Venue when exiting and re-entering a competition Event session.

a) Save as set out in Section 15 b) below, and save for officially accredited photographers and media acting within the scope of their accreditation, you shall not bring into (or use within) the WBEURO27/Venue any equipment that is capable of recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data in relation to the WBEURO27 session(s) or any aspect of it, and you shall not sell, license, publish or otherwise commercially exploit any such recording. Any person acting in breach of this provision may have such equipment confiscated and/or will be required to deliver up any tapes, films, disks or other recordings or data to the Event Organiser and the copyright in any such recording or transmission is hereby assigned (by way of present assignment of future copyright pursuant to section 91 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988) to the Event Organiser. To the extent that any such assignment is for any reason ineffective, you hereby grant the Event Organiser an exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence (with the right to sub-license, assign and transfer) to use, reproduce, modify, distribute and otherwise exploit any and all such recordings, transmissions, content and materials for any purpose and in any media (whether now known or hereafter devised).

b) Mobile telephones are permitted within the Venue for the Event, provided that they are used for personal and private use only.

c) Save for official Event merchandise and/or other wheelchair basketball-related clothing worn in good faith, you shall not bring into, use or display at the Venue or Event any sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials.

d) You shall not offer or distribute (either free or for sale by any person) within the Venue or at the Event any consumer article or commercial product of any nature. For the avoidance of doubt this paragraph shall not prevent the lawful distribution of text publications in any format which do not infringe Section 15 c) above where both the content and the publication are lawful in all respects and do not in the Event Organiser’s reasonable opinion constitute a threat to public order.

e) The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, an Event session or Venue any person who fails to comply with these Spectator Regulations. In such cases, the person’s ticket will be invalidated without any right to a refund, compensation, or re-admission.

f) The Event Organiser and Venue reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, an Event session or Venue any person who promotes or displays any item that could be deemed to be offensive or behaves in a manner that could be deemed to be offensive. In such cases, your ticket will be invalidated without any right to a refund, compensation, or re-admission.

g) If a Spectator is found to be in breach of Section 15 a) or 15 b) of these Spectator Regulations, this shall constitute a serious breach and shall entitle us to (without prejudice to any other rights and remedies we, or the Venue have) withdraw the relevant Spectators ticket or refuse a customer admission to the Event, without any right to a refund, compensation, or re-admission.

a) We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for:

i. death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors during the course of their employment;

ii. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by the Event Organiser; or

iii. any liability which may not be excluded or limited as a matter of English law.

b) Personal arrangements relating to the Event including, but not limited to, travel, subsistence and accommodation are arranged at your own risk.

c) To the fullest extent permitted by law and subject to Section 16 a) above, all property brought in to the Venue and the Event is brought at the Spectator’s risk and WBEURO27 and the Venue shall not in any way be responsible for any theft, loss or any damage in respect of such property, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Event Organiser, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

d) Subject to Section 16 a) above, with regard to personal property brought to the Venue, the liability of the Event Organiser shall be limited to the reasonable cost of either repairing or replacing such personal property, subject to fair wear and tear.

e) Different limitations and exclusions of liability will apply to liability arising as a result of your purchase and/or usage of a ticket to enter the Event, which will be set out in our WBEURO27 Ticketing Terms and Conditions (your attention is particularly drawn to paragraph 10 (Limitation of Liability)), to the terms and conditions of the ticketing service providers (as applicable) including Ticket Quarter, Twickets, the Venue: M&S Bank Arena Liverpool,.

Spectators details are managed in accordance with the UKEL Privacy Policy and The Liverpool Experience Campus’ data protection policy.

a) In entering the WBEURO27 event, you acknowledge that:

i. photographic images and/or audio, visual and audio-visual recordings and/or feeds (and/or stills taken therefrom) may be taken of you and may be used in whole or in part, by means of any media existing now or in the future, for any purpose and without compensation, consideration or notification, by way of example and without limitation, in televised coverage of WBEURO27 sessions and/or for promotional or marketing purposes by the Event Organiser, the Venue, Event Organiser partners and/or other third parties and/or accredited media organisations;

ii. photographic images and/or audio, visual and/or audio-visual recordings and/or feeds (and/or stills taken therefrom) may be used (by the Event Organiser or by a third party, such as a law enforcement body) to identify you as an individual, where permitted by data protection laws, for the purposes of preventing or detecting crime, or any breach of these Spectator Regulations;

iii. the Event sessions are public, and that your appearance and actions inside and in the perimeter of the WBEURO27/ Venue where an Event session occurs are public in nature, and that you shall have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the Event session,

and by entering the WBEURO27 event at the Venue you waive in advance all your rights and actions seeking to oppose to such use.

a) Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by these Spectator Regulations.

b) We reserve the right to change these Spectator Regulations from time to time, and shall notify such changes if they materially affect any rights as a consumer. Any variations will be advertised on our website hosted at www.wbeuro27.com

c) The invalidity or partial invalidity of any provision of these Spectator Regulations shall not prejudice or affect the remainder of these Spectator Regulations, which shall continue in full force and effect. If any invalid, unenforceable or illegal provision of this agreement would be valid, enforceable and legal if some part of it were deleted, the provision shall apply with the minimum modification necessary to make it legal, valid and enforceable.

d) Our failure to exercise, or delay in exercising, any right, power or remedy provided by these Spectator Regulations or by law shall not constitute a waiver of that right, power or remedy.

e) Notwithstanding any other provision in these Spectator Regulations and with the exception of the Venue, no other person other than you or the Event Organiser has any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to rely on or enforce any term of these Spectator Regulations. Nothing in these Spectator Regulations shall affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available other than as a result of the aforementioned Act.

The laws of England and Wales will apply to these Spectator Regulations and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
